My name is Akiko and I’m a 7 1/2 year old Akita and I recently became a tripawd on May 3,2013. It was a very hard for the family to make the decision to have the surgery to make me a tripawd, but except for a few things, I don’t see a difference in what I can and can’t do.
Before I became a tripawd, mom and dad adopted me when I was just a baby. I became the newest member of the pack on New Years day 2006. I am their 3rd akita, but I only have 1 sister, Tsuki, because her older brother passed to Heaven before they adopted me.
Hi Akiko! What a handsome boy you are. I also went back and saw your picture on your first day home from the amp. Your good looks didn’t fade for a second even after a major surgery:-) 🙂
And the recovery only gets better and better:-) 🙂
